More information on Neuro-Linguistic Programming

Neuro-Linguistic Programming was originated by John Grinder (whose background was in lingistics) and Richard Bandler (whose background was in mathematics and gestalt therapy) for the purpose of making explicit models of human excellence.  In the early years they studied the verbal and behavioural patterns of Fritz Perls (the creator of gestalt therapy), Virginia Satir (internationally renowned family therpist), and Milton Erickson (founder of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis).  As a result of this work Grinder and Bandler formalized their modelling techniques and their own individual contributions under the name "Neuro-Linguistic Programming" to symbolize the relationship between the brain, language and the body.

NLP is a name that encompasses the three most influential components involved in producing human experience neurology, language, and programming.  The neurological system regulates how our bodies function, language derermines how we interface and communicate with other people and our programming determines the kinds of models of the world we create.  NLP describes the fundamental dynamics between mind (neuro) and language (linguistic) and how their interplay effects our body and behaiour (programming).  It is based on the idea that mind, body and language interact to create an individual's perception of the world and that perceptions, and hence behaviours, can be changed by the application of a variety of techniques.

The patterns discovered during Grinder and Bandler's early study of the leading therapists were adapted for general communication and effecting change.  NLP is a behavioural technology, which simply means that it is a set of guiding principles, attitudes and techniques about real-life behaviour, and not a removed scientific theorem.  It allows you to change, adopt or eliminate behaviours, as you desire, and gives you the ability to choose your mental, emotional, and physical states of well-being.

Through the years, NLP has developed some very powerful tools and skills for communication and change in a wide range of professional areas including counseling, psychotherapy, education, health, creativity, law, management, sales, leadership and parenting.

A normal treatment is 2 hours long and costs £150, some problems may require more than one treatment but you will be able to see visible results after only the first treatment.
